TMT Bars

TMT bars, also known as Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars, are high-strength reinforcement bars with a tough outer core and a soft inner core. The steel wires are passed through a rolling mill stand as the first step in the manufacturing process. The rolled steel wires are then passed through the Tempcore water cooling system once more. The water pressure is optimised while the wires are being passed through the water cooling system. The sudden quenching and drastic temperature change toughen the outer layer of the steel bar, making it super tough and durable. After this process is completed, the TMT bars are subjected to atmospheric cooling. This is done to compensate for the temperature difference between the soft inner core and the tough exterior.
